Keyring
WW1 Poppy keyring
Product Details
This Poppy is made from resin and is hand painted. It is a miniature 3D model of a poppy flower, supplied on a quality key-chain. The poppy key-ring is presented on a World War I key-ring header card, that has a colour image of British troops, an aircraft and a tank together with a red poppy on the front. Information: After the First World War the poppy was adopted as a symbol of Remembrance. Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, who served in the war, was inspired by the sight of poppies growing in battle-scarred fields to write a now famous poem called ‘In Flanders Fields’. Its opening lines refer to the many poppies that were the first flowers to grow in the churned-up earth of soldiers’ graves in Flanders, a region of Belgium. |
